Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service

This year many non-profit organizations and schools came together to make this year’s MLK Day celebration one of the largest in years. Widener University, Swarthmore College, YWCA Chester, United Way of SE Delaware County, Wallingford Community Arts and Unity Center are working together to make a great event.  Many different opportunities are available including…

• Volunteer opportunities throughout the City of Chester.
   
• A Quilting project- all skills levels are invited!
   
• Programs for kids
   
• A Mural Project
   
• Peace Flags
   
• Take the 2011 non-violence pledge
  Lay a wreath at the site where Dr. King studied
   
• Lunch, T-shirts, and Fun
